Meet Chardonnay!

Chardonnay is a dry white wine, made from the Chardonnay wine grape -- esteemed througout the world for its richness, complexity and depth of flavor, although it ranges in style from elegant and crisp (green apple-like) to full and luscious (the essence of creme brulee). Chardonnay is also used extensively in quality sparkling wine production.

Origins of Chardonnay

Believed to be of Middle Eastern parentage, the Chardonnay vine was carried to France centuries ago, where it thrived. Chardonnay's fame outside France is recent; largely a post-1970s New World phenomenon.
