Tours
 Our
tours discover Italy travelling the Wine Roads. The Specials,
by now an unique IWT feature, are designed and scheduled
to join religious processions and celebrations, cultural,
or food and wine related feasts in different parts of Italy.
They all allow us to see and share some genuine aspects of
the Italian life, in the places and the dates when they are
celebrated. The events include:
- Wine and food fairs. Mainly in the
harvest season, or in late fall when the truffles grow
and the new olive oil is pressed.
- Festivities and processions. In the
spring and, mainly in the summer, when the weather is nicer,
we can take you to the most beautiful, scenic processions,
some of which recall medieval and pagan rituals. Of course,
being in Italy, the religious celebrations combine with
the passion for street music, good food and the taste for
theatrical street life.
- Opera festivals. In the warmer summer,
it's so nice to enjoy an opera in the open air. We manage
to join tastings in the great Veneto and Tuscany estates
and evergreen masterpieces as Aida, Carmen, Tosca, Nabucco,
Turandot. More information here and here.
Our average tour last 8 days and 7 nights, yet some are
longer or shorter.
Inclusions (for an 8 day tour):
- 7 B&B accommodations. We normally select three stars
hotels, farmhouse resorts, possibly actual wineries, or
beautiful villas, based on what better matches our itinerary.
- 5 dinners and 5 lunches or picnics and tips, with wines
of our choice,
- 8 winetastings or winetasting-lunches.
- Transportation in minivan or minibus, from first hotel
to the closer departure station.
- Winetasting session, informal talks about the local wines,
brochures and maps.
- One guided city or archeological tour.
Not Included:
- Museums, travel insurance, opera tickets, other tips.
- Transportation from and to the airports. They can be
provided as an extra.
- Tours will go with 5 people minimum and 14 maximum.
Prices:
Each tour is different. As an indication, the price may
range between 2,600 Euros and 3,000 Euros/person, for an
8 days 7 nights tour, depending on local rates and on the
low/high season.
