Description
What kind of wine it is
Bolgheri Bianco by Campo al Faro is a wine born from a blend of Vermentino and Viognier in the Bolgheri area, within the territory of Castagneto Carducci. Fermentation takes place in steel vats at low temperature to preserve aromatic clarity and ensure a clean profile. The result is a fresh and harmonious style, characterized by a distinct savoriness and a persistent finish.
Where it comes from
This wine is produced in the coastal area of Bolgheri, in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci. The production area enjoys a climate influenced by constant sea breezes, which impart well-defined characteristics to the grapes. This strong territorial identity translates into a highly drinkable wine expression, enriched by mineral undertones that clearly and precisely define the structure with each sip.
How it is made
The grapes destined for this wine are harvested separately, in order to respect the ripening times of each variety. Viognier is picked in the last days of August, while Vermentino clusters are selected in the first ten days of September. Subsequently, fermentation in steel takes place at low temperatures, a process that helps maintain the fragrances before bottling in January.
Tasting notes
In the glass, the wine displays a bright straw-yellow color with subtle greenish highlights. The nose opens with an intense bouquet that releases notes of white-fleshed fruit like pear and banana, accompanied by delicate hints of citrus and floral tones. On the palate, it is fresh and harmonious, finishing with a persistent and well-focused savoriness.
Best pairings
At the table, this wine pairs harmoniously with seafood appetizers, crudités, and refined fish tartare. Its pronounced freshness makes it an effective match for fried seafood dishes, supporting briny notes and cleansing the palate. Alternatively, it is an excellent accompaniment for stewed white meats, always ensuring the right balance between aromatic intensity and delicacy of preparation.
When to serve it
It is the ideal companion for convivial moments that call for a crisp, fragrant, and lively wine. Whether part of a fish-based meal or more refined dishes, it enhances the entire dining experience and leaves room for its elegant mineral texture. Thanks to its production in steel, it offers a pleasantly expressive immediacy, making it appreciated for its lively and energetic profile.
