Description

What kind of wine is it

Bolgheri Rosso by Campo al Faro is a Tuscan red wine with a full and warm profile. This blend is made from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot grapes, meticulously cultivated in the Bolgheri area. The aging process, expertly combining French oak barriques and cement, gives the wine a perfect balance between structure and smoothness, enhancing a delicate and enveloping tannic texture.

Where it comes from

This wine is crafted in Castagneto Carducci, at the heart of the renowned Bolgheri terroir in Tuscany. The coastal area is tempered by the sea breeze, a key element that ensures freshness and consistent ripening of the grapes. The identity of this denomination rests on the great Bordeaux varieties, and thanks to these influences, the wine develops a composed structure and an authentic character.

How it is produced

The harvest takes place between September and early October, with careful selection of the grape bunches. Vinification continues in temperature-controlled steel tanks to guarantee constant temperature monitoring. The wine then ages for seven months, resting partly in French oak barriques and partly in cement vats to integrate spicy notes and a linear sip.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows an intense ruby red color. The nose reveals clear cherry aromas and berries, enriched by subtle spicy nuances. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, supported by delicate tannins that never make the sip harsh, while the finish maintains good persistence and closes in perfect balance between fruity components and pleasant spicy returns.

Food pairing

Its tannic texture enhances structured dishes. It pairs wonderfully with classic oven-baked lasagna, but also accentuates preparations based on braised or roasted red meats. In line with Tuscan tradition, it is an excellent match for wild boar or boards of aged cheeses, and elegantly supports slow-cooked dishes for a harmonious and balanced meal.

When to serve

This red proves to be the ideal choice to accompany lunches and dinners featuring meat or stuffed pasta. Its accessible nature makes it perfect for immediate consumption, as it offers readiness without requiring lengthy aging in the cellar. It shows its character in convivial occasions and can elegantly enhance both a well-prepared everyday meal and a richly set table.
