Description

What kind of wine is it?

Bolgheri Rosso by Campo al Faro is a Tuscan red wine with a full and warm profile. This blend originates from Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Merlot grapes, which are carefully cultivated in the Bolgheri area. The aging process, which skillfully combines French oak barriques and cement, gives the wine a perfect balance between structure and smoothness, enhancing a delicate and enveloping tannic texture.

Where it comes from

This wine is produced in Castagneto Carducci, in the heart of the renowned Bolgheri terroir in Tuscany. The coastal area is tempered by the sea breeze, a key element that ensures freshness and regular ripening of the grapes. The identity of this denomination is rooted in the great Bordeaux varieties and, thanks to these influences, the wine acquires a composed structure and an authentic character.

How it is produced

The harvest takes place between September and early October, with careful selection of the bunches. Vinification continues in temperature-controlled steel tanks that guarantee constant temperature management. Afterwards, the wine ages for seven months, resting partly in French oak barriques and partly in cement tanks to integrate spicy notes and a seamless sip.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays an intense ruby red color. The nose reveals clear cherry aromas and wild berry nuances, enriched with subtle spicy hints. On the palate, it is full and enveloping, supported by delicate tannins that never make the drink harsh, while the finish remains persistent and closes in perfect balance between fruity elements and pleasant spicy echoes.

Food pairings

Its tannic structure enhances structured dishes. It pairs perfectly with classic oven-baked lasagna but also brings out the best in braised red meats and roasts. In line with Tuscan tradition, it makes the perfect match with wild boar or with boards of aged cheeses, and elegantly supports slow-cooked meals for a harmonious and balanced dining experience.

When to serve it

This red is the ideal choice to accompany lunches and dinners featuring meat or stuffed pasta dishes. Its approachable nature makes it perfect for immediate consumption, as it offers immediacy without the need for prolonged aging in the cellar. It shines in convivial settings and can gracefully elevate both a carefully prepared daily meal and a richly set table.
