Description

What kind of wine is it?

Champagne Brut La Cuvée by Laurent-Perrier comes from the region of Champagne, crafted from a calibrated blend of Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier. The white vinification and subsequent bottle fermentation are carried out strictly according to the Traditional Method, which involves prolonged aging on the lees. This process gives the wine a fresh, structured style with remarkable aromatic precision. The taste profile is extremely clean, enhanced by a fine and persistent perlage consistent with the stylistic approach of the type.

Where does it come from?

The grapes come from the historic Champagne region, an area in northeastern France renowned for its sparkling wine production. Here, the cool climate ensures gradual grape ripening, an essential factor for preserving grape acidity and aromatic definition. The blend of traditional varieties, cultivated in selected plots, makes it possible to maintain a consistent and recognizable style that stands out for notable qualitative balance.

How is it made?

Production begins with harvesting and manual selection of the best Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and Pinot Meunier grapes. After traditional white vinification processes, the second fermentation happens in the bottle, in accordance with the Traditional Method. The Champagne rests on its lees for at least 36 months, a long pause that increases aromatic complexity and creates well-integrated bubbles, bringing the cuvée to its typical Brut balance.

Tasting notes

It appears a bright straw yellow in the glass, highlighted by creamy mousse and fine bubbles. The bouquet opens with intense aromas distinctly recalling yellow fruits and delicate black cherry, while maintaining a fragrant and linear character. On the palate, it is fresh and juicy, offering a broad sip that combines excellent smoothness with a well-balanced structure, leading to an extremely clean finish.

What does it pair with?

The remarkable freshness of this Champagne makes it ideal as an aperitif or paired with a variety of dishes. It naturally complements fish dishes and shellfish, beautifully enhancing delicate textures and marine flavors. It is perfect for accompanying a seafood platter or light appetizers, where the vibrancy of each sip and the precision of the bubbles effectively cleanse the palate with every taste.

When to serve

This Brut fits multiple occasions and is the right choice whenever you want to enjoy Champagne of a straightforward and immediate character. It is recommended for moments that call for freshness and creamy mousse, without sacrificing the typical gustatory breadth. Thanks to the extended aging on the lees, it guarantees a harmonious and complete sip, which is perfectly suitable for both a toast and extended table service.
