Description
Passo Doble by Masi Tupungato originates from vineyards located in the Tupungato Valley, at the foot of the volcano of the same name, in the Argentine province of Mendoza. It is made with Malbec and Corvina Veronese grapes, exclusively handpicked.
This wine is crafted using the double fermentation technique: the must obtained from Malbec grapes ferments, with maceration, in stainless steel containers at a controlled temperature of 25-28°C for 15 days. This is followed by a second fermentation, after the addition of whole Corvina grapes, slightly dried and pressed. The wine then ages for 10 months in French oak barriques.
It presents an intense ruby red color. On the nose, it opens with aromas of ripe cherry, enriched by sweet spicy notes. On the palate it is pleasantly rich and intense, offering a persistent finish with soft tannins.
Perfect to accompany grilled or roasted red meats, game birds, and flavorful aged cheeses.
