Description
The Montefalco Rosso Riserva from the Antonelli winery is produced only in the best vintages and ages for a long time in barrels.
It consists mostly of Sangiovese grapes, with the addition of typical Montefalco grapes, harvested manually. The grapes are vinified with a maceration on the skins for 3-4 weeks. Subsequently the wine ages in oak barrels and in concrete tanks, to conclude with 6 months in the bottle.
Deep ruby red in colour, the wine expresses aromas of cherry, red flowers and spices on the nose. The sip is structured and elegant, with a long persistence.
It goes well with baked pasta, grilled red meats and game.
