Description
Inglenook's Cabernet Sauvignon is a red wine from the Rutherford appellation in Napa Valley, produced with grapes grown exclusively on the Inglenook estate. Created as a tribute to John Daniel Jr. and the historic tradition of the property founded by Gustave Niebaum, it represents a classic and refined expression of Californian Cabernet Sauvignon.
The blend consists mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon with a small percentage of Cabernet Franc, sourced from several carefully selected parcels of the estate. Maturation takes place for about nineteen months in French oak, with a portion of new barrels, promoting the integration of fruit, structure, and aromatic complexity.
In the glass, it appears with a deep and intense ruby color. On the nose, it offers enveloping aromas of wild black cherry, vanilla, warm brioche, and crème de cassis; on the palate, notes of red cherry, graphite, and fennel emerge, supported by smooth tannins, good tension, and a long, fragrant finish.
It pairs elegantly with beef fillet, rack of lamb, or flavorful roasts, enhancing its structure and finesse.
