Graduated with honors in Economics and Commerce, he quickly immerses himself body and soul in enology, collaborating with Luigi Veronelli on "Ex Vinis", a magazine of which he becomes the Responsible Director for the first 4 issues. In 1990, he founded Lm edizioni, creating the magazine The Taster of Wine. It will be in 1993 that he will realize the first edition of the Yearbook of the Best Italian Wines, a report on the wine production of the best Italian wineries. Since 1999, he has been ideating and organizing Sensofwine: the most important food and wine event in Italy organized by private individuals.

It is Luca Maroni, one of the most important, well-known, and influential Italian sommeliers, who from 1989 to 2012 tasted 200,000 wines.
