Colline Teramane DOCG Montepulciano d'Abruzzo 2011 Fantini Farnese
Description
The Colline Teramane Montepulciano d'Abruzzo of Fantini Farnese was born in vineyards located in the municipalities of Teramani of Colonnella and Roseto degli Abruzzi.
It is produced exclusively with Montepulciano grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperature for 20 days. Subsequently the wine ages for over 12 months in wooden barrels and in bottle for a further 6 months, before being marketed.
Colline Teramane Montepulciano d'Abruzzo by Fantini Farnese has a ruby red color with garnet reflections. The nose opens with intense and persistent aromas of spices, with hints of chocolate and tar, which blend well with the fruit. On the palate it is structured and well balanced, rightly tannic.
Perfect to accompany rich first courses and red meats, this wine is ideal in combination with cold cuts and aged cheeses.
