Description
What kind of wine is it
Jas de Vignes by Ravoire is a rosé from Provence made from a blend of Grenache Noir, Syrah, Cinsault, and Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains. The wine features a fresh and fruity profile, with a light structure and a balance between lively acidity and a delicate body. Fermentation in stainless steel at low temperature helps preserve crisp and intense aromas, offering a clean and pleasant sip.
Where does it come from
Jas de Vignes comes from the Alpes de Haute-Provence, at the foot of the Provençal Prealps. The Mediterranean climate, influenced by altitude, encourages a gradual ripening of the grapes.
How is it produced
The grapes are harvested in the early hours of the morning to preserve their aromatic freshness. After pressing, the grapes are placed in stainless steel tanks for fermentation, which lasts 10-15 days.
Tasting notes
Jas de Vignes shows a brilliant, pale pink color. The aroma is immediate, with hints of fresh strawberries and exotic fruits, enriched by light floral notes. On the palate, it is smooth to drink, backed by vibrant acidity and red fruit sensations, with a clean finish that invites another sip.
Pairings
This rosé pairs well with carpaccio of meat and fish, even smoked, thanks to its balanced acidity and soft structure. It's ideal with seafood risotto, such as shellfish risotto, and naturally accompanies grilled white meats. In regional French cuisine, it pairs with fish dishes.
When to serve it
It is recommended to serve Jas de Vignes chilled to enhance its freshness and aromas. Best enjoyed young, so its aromatic profile remains lively. With proper storage, the wine retains good integrity and develops a softer, rounder finish over time.
