Description

The Pinot Gris Selection Demi-Sec by Arthur Metz is a white wine from Alsace made from Pinot Gris grapes, originating from a wine-growing area extending 120 km between the Bas-Rhin and Haut-Rhin departments. The vineyards are located between the Vosges mountains and the Alsatian plain, on predominantly limestone soils that give typicity and structure to the wines. This wine represents a smooth and accessible interpretation of the grape variety, ideal for convivial moments.

Vinification follows traditional methods, with grapes harvested at perfect ripeness followed by alcoholic fermentation at controlled temperature. After fermentation, the wine is racked, filtered, and bottled to preserve its freshness and aromatic profile. Aging takes place in steel to enhance the varietal purity and maintain a residual sugar level characteristic of its demi-sec style.

The wine presents with a bright, clear color. The profile suggests fruity and floral hints, typical of Pinot Gris. On the palate, it is harmonious and round, with good freshness, well-integrated alcohol content, and balanced acidity supporting a measured sweetness.

It pairs perfectly with blue cheeses, foie gras, or dried fruit desserts.
