Südtirol - Alto Adige DOC Riserva Fallwind Pinot Nero 2020 St. Michael Eppan

The Pinot Nero Riserva of the Fallwind line is produced by the famous South Tyrolean winery San Michele Appiano, located on the Appiano wine route. San Michele Appiano is a cooperative winery of producers that for decades has been producing some of the most representative wines of the region. The Pinot Nero vineyards are located in Appiano, Caldaro and Pinzon, at an altitude between 350 and 500 meters above sea level

The manual harvest of the grapes takes place at the beginning of September. Once in the cellar, fermentation takes place in steel vats, and then passes to a refinement in barrique and tonneau for 12 months, where the malolactic fermentation also takes place. Finally the wine is blended and the refinement continues in concrete barrels.

Ruby red in color, on the nose the Pinot Nero Fallwind reveals fruity aromas of cherry and small red fruits, currant, raspberry and wild strawberry, with delicately spicy notes. The sip is wide and elegant.

The Pinot Noir Fallwind is ideally paired with lamb or kid dishes, with tasty fish dishes, also in red, and with aged cheeses.
