Barolo Cerequio DOCG 2019 Michele Chiarlo

The Barolo Cerequio of the Michele Chiarlo estate comes from vineyards located in the municipality of La Morra, in the province of Cuneo. Produced within one of the great historical crus of the denomination, Cerequio, this label represents one of the symbolic wines of this prestigious Piedmontese company.

It is made exclusively with Nebbiolo grapes, harvested and selected by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration in contact with the skins, in oak vats at a controlled temperature of 27-30 ° C, for 15 days. Subsequently the wine ages in medium-capacity oak barrels for 24 months and for further 15-16 months in bottle.

Michele Chiarlo's Barolo Cerequio has a garnet red color, which acquires slight orange reflections with aging. The nose expresses intense aromas of red fruit, among which cherry stands out, enriched with notes of violet, vanilla and licorice. On the palate it is balsamic and elegant, characterized by an excellent persistence.

Perfect to accompany red meat dishes, this fine red wine is ideal in combination with aged cheeses.
