Description

Giovanni Rosso's wines are among the best interpreters of the extraordinary Serralunga d'Alba terroir. For over a century he has cultivated an estate with a park of great value vineyards, located in the famous crus: Cerretta, La Serra, Broglio, Meriame, Sorano, Costabella, Lirano and Damiano.

Barolo Ceretta was born in the early 90s to enhance the characteristics of a parcel particularly suited to microclimate and soil composition. Fermentation takes place in concrete tanks, with maceration on the skins for about a month. As per tradition, the wine ages 24-36 months in large French oak barrels.

It is an excellent Barolo, which admirably combines elegance and structure. Garnet in color, it expresses aromas of dried flowers, violet, delicate spices and small red fruits on the nose. Full-bodied, it has dense tannins and deep and persistent aromas.

To be paired with game but also with a beef stew.
