Barolo DOCG 2016 Sabaudo
Data sheet
Description

A wine obtained from the prince of the Piedmontese Langhe vines: Nebbiolo in purity, faithful mirror of its terroir of origin. Harvested in the first half of October, this grape is able to give the wine a unique and unmistakable taste. The label depicts Vittorio Emanuele II, protagonist, with Cavour and Garibaldi, of national unification and first king of Italy from 1861 to 1878.
The must is cold macerated for 3 days, then ferments in steel tanks at controlled temperature for a week, with regular punching down and de-aging. It ages for 30 months in French oak and mixed oak tonneaux.
This wine, garnet red in color, fine and elegant, gives the nose soft hints of ripe fruit, to which are added pleasant notes of coffee roasting. On the palate it is powerful and well-structured and offers a long and very pleasant sip.
It is the ideal wine to accompany meat dishes. To try absolutely with noble poultry such as roasted goose.
