Description
The Bolgheri Rosso Il Seggio from Poggio al Tesoro, the winery of Marilisa Allegrini, is cultivated in the estate-owned vineyards located in the municipality of Castagneto Carducci, in the province of Livorno. The name is a reference to the river Seggio, which flows through the entire Bolgheri area.
This wine is produced from Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot grape varieties. After the alcoholic fermentation is completed, the wine is aged for 15 months in partially new French oak barrels.
With an intense ruby red color, it is a wine with intense aromas of blueberry and cherry, enriched by distinctive mineral and spicy notes. The taste includes sensations of balance and softness, which lead to a finish of great cleanliness, length, and elegance.
Recommended for pairing with roasts and braised meats, this wine also pairs well with game-based dishes.
