Bordeaux Supérieur AOC La Réserve 2020 Château Picon

Château Picon La Reserve originates from an exceptional terroir, limestone and clay, which gives the wine a splendid minerality. It consists of a blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Sauvignon and comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Eynesse, near the Bastide Sainte-Foy-la-Grande, in a property that covers 81 hectares and is located on a plateau overlooking the Dordogne valley.

Its vines have an average age of 35 and are meticulously cared for, with a green harvest. The wine vinifies in stainless steel vats at controlled temperatures, while refining 100% new French oak barrels for 15 months.

Its dark red color stands out in the glass, with carmine reflections; it presents its bouquet of red fruit with complex coffee aromas. On the palate it is powerful, dense, with notes of ripe fruit and hints of vanilla. A dense tannin makes it an opulent, rich wine.

It is the ideal wine to accompany red meat in sauce and very seasoned, as well as game and game. Excellent if combined with lasagna with Bolognese sauce.
