Description
Maison Ropiteau Frères' Bourgogne Pinot Noir originates from grapes sourced from various selected terroirs in Burgundy, the historical home of this grape variety. In this region, Pinot Noir finds the ideal conditions to best express its elegance, thanks to the temperate climate and clay-limestone soils, which vary significantly from village to village, requiring careful selection by the winemaker.
Vinification takes place in stainless steel tanks to enhance the purity of the fruit, followed by six months of aging in barrels, which gives the wine structure and roundness. This technique allows for maintaining a fresh and delicately evolved profile, highlighting the aromatic typicality of Pinot Noir.
The color is bright cherry red. On the nose, fruity notes of cherry and fruit in spirits are distinguished, with a touch of lime and mint. The taste is round and soft, dominated by red fruits and enhanced by a subtle woody note, with good persistence and harmonious balance.
It pairs ideally with grilled or roasted red meats, meat pies, boiled meats, or cheeses like Brillat-Savarin.
