Description

La Mira is a red wine produced by SotoManrique from old Garnacha vines located in the Galayo area, in the Sierra de Gredos. The vineyards are planted at altitudes between 950 and 1000 meters on slate soils with quartz presence, giving the wine freshness and complexity typical of this unique terroir.

The alcoholic fermentation occurs spontaneously in concrete vats, with 30% whole grape clusters, at temperatures ranging from 18 to 26°C. Once fermentation is complete, the must is transferred to a steel tank and, after ten days, refined in large oak barrels for an extended period. This is followed by light filtration and bottling with very low sulphite content.

The wine presents a bright and clear cherry red color. On the nose, it expresses fresh notes of red fruits and floral accents. On the palate, it strikes with the vibrant acidity typical of slate soils, enriched by spicy notes that make the sip complex, fresh, and persistent.

It pairs well with light red meats, spicy dishes, or medium-intensity aged cheeses.
