Description
Louis Jadot's Chambolle Musigny Les Drazey comes from the renowned Côte de Nuits region in Burgundy, characterized by limestone soils with gravel and pebbles, which give the wine a refined and elegant structure. This area is known for its 24 Premiers Crus and 2 Grands Crus, with vineyards facing east/southeast at an altitude of 250-350 meters above sea level.
The winemaking process involves destemming the grapes, followed by maceration in open tanks for 4 weeks. The wine then matures in oak barrels for 18 months, harmoniously balancing flavors and adding complexity to the aromatic profile.
Characterized by a ruby red color, it reveals a rich and complex bouquet on the nose, dominated by red fruits such as cherry and strawberry, combined with delicate floral notes and a light minerality. This elegance then carries through to the palate, where the wine's finesse is confirmed, with a silky texture from well-integrated tannins and a persistent freshness that leads to a long and harmonious finish.
It pairs perfectly with delicate red meats, mushroom-based dishes, and medium-aged cheeses.
