Description
What kind of wine is it
Le Parc by Marguet is a Champagne Grand Cru Brut Nature from Chardonnay grapes. This rigorous wine follows the principles of biodynamics and reflects a terroir-driven approach through aromatherapy applied in the vineyard. The single-parcel vinification, featuring secondary fermentation according to the Traditional Method and prolonged ageing, results in a creamy texture and clear-cut complexity. The result is an elegant and sleek Champagne, perfect alongside structured dishes.
Where does it come from
The grapes come from the south-facing slopes of Ambonnay and Bouzy, where Marguet manages eight hectares in the Champagne region. Viticulture aims to enhance the terroir and maintain a vital ecological balance between flora and fauna. The southern exposure guarantees ripe fruit and provides the Chardonnay a full and clean structure. Independent work on each parcel makes origin the foundation of this label’s identity.
How is it produced
Agricultural management applies strict biodynamic principles and aromatherapy practices that naturally protect the vines. The soil is worked by horses using ancient techniques to respect the land and grape development. In the cellar, each parcel ferments separately in wooden barrels through a process that preserves the specific expression of place. This is followed by four years’ ageing on the lees with minimal use of sulphur, offering a clear snapshot of the original soil.
Tasting notes
In the glass, the wine unveils a golden yellow hue, with a fine and persistent perlage that highlights precise effervescence. The nose offers an elegant bouquet where hints of apple and citrus blend with a distinct mineral trace that keeps the aromas clearly defined. The palate opens creamy and evolves into a slender, progressive sip of enveloping clarity, closing with a balanced persistence born of long ageing.
Wine pairings
This label is suited to pairing with noble fish dishes, where the wine’s deep structure complements rich preparations without overpowering them. It pairs ideally with refined seafood starters and raw dishes that enhance the food’s iodine character. At the table, tactile suppleness and effervescence balance a generous seafood platter to maintain harmony and flavour coherence from start to finish.
When to serve it
A bottle meant for sharing special and refined moments, combining elegance with enjoyment. The prolonged ageing and time in wood make it perfect from aperitif to main course. The Brut Nature stylistic choice results in a direct sip, perfect for those who favour essential, uncompromising tastings. Open it for occasions where the prestige of terroir is the focal point of the story at the table.
