Description
What kind of wine it is
The Champagne Rosé Brut Alexandra by Laurent-Perrier comes from the meeting of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. Crafted according to the Traditional Method, it masterfully unites structure, finesse, and freshness in a linear profile. The prise de mousse and the prolonged aging on the lees provide a pleasantly silky texture, enhancing its marked mineral imprint and clear citrus notes.
Where it comes from
It originates in the renowned Champagne region of France, from selected vineyards in eleven of the seventeen villages classified as Grand Cru. This rigorous territorial origin brings together areas historically known for consistent quality, forming a harmonious whole. Its high-profile origins give it great precision and tension. Blending grapes from different sites results in a clear stylistic expression, always oriented towards freshness.
How it is made
Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes are meticulously hand-harvested before vinification. This is followed by an expertly crafted blend designed to ensure perfect harmony between finesse and structure. In accordance with the Traditional Method, the second fermentation in the bottle introduces an extended period in contact with the lees. The aging process lasts a minimum of ten years, endowing the wine with profound complexity and remarkable persistence.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it shows an orange-pink color with refined effervescence. The nose reveals clear and measured notes of red fruits, introducing a clean and essential aromatic profile. On the palate, it is mineral, silky, and enlivened by persistent freshness. The tasting ends with a consistent finish, marked by a pleasant note of bitter orange that extends its citrus trail.
Pairings
Ideal as an aperitif, it naturally accompanies crustacean crudités, white meats, and fish-based dishes. Its silky texture and incisive freshness are enhanced alongside elegant dishes that respect the main ingredient, such as a seafood platter. A traditional and perfectly balanced combination is achieved with sole meunière, where the wine's minerality flawlessly balances the flavors of the dish.
When to serve it
Ideal for occasions that require a wine with a precise and defined taste, it is suitable for opening an event or accompanying light courses. The subtle balance between structure and freshness makes it perfect for those who appreciate Champagne with a clean, rigorous profile, with no excess. The ten-year aging on lees ensures excellent continuity and offers a smooth, vibrant tasting experience, maintaining its tension from the first to the last glass.
