Description
What type of wine is it?
Pol Roger's Champagne Brut Réserve embodies the maison's style, crafted from a blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Meunier, and Pinot Noir. This Champagne stands out for its elegance and vibrancy, offering a complex yet approachable structure. Notes of white fruit and citrus freshness are brought out by stainless steel vinification and the Méthode Champenoise, with aging on the lees for at least 36 months, imparting depth and finesse to the perlage.
Where it comes from
The Brut Réserve by Pol Roger is crafted in the Champagne region.
How it is made
The winemaking process starts with careful grape selection. The grapes undergo gentle pressing and fermentation in stainless steel at controlled temperature, followed by malolactic fermentation. The base wine is blended and re-fermented in the bottle according to the Méthode Champenoise. Aging on the lees for at least 36 months develops aromatic complexity and a fine perlage. Remuage and disgorgement complete the process, resulting in purity and precision.
Tasting notes
In the glass, the Champagne shows a bright straw yellow and a fine, persistent perlage. The nose reveals a bouquet of citrus, green apple, and white flowers, with light notes of bread crust and honey from aging on the lees. On the palate, mineral freshness combines with subtle creaminess, offering a fruity and dynamic profile. The finish is savory, taut, and slightly spicy, delivering length and character.
Food pairing
Pol Roger's Champagne Brut Réserve pairs excellently with sushi and sashimi, enhancing the freshness of the dishes. It is also ideal with aged cheeses.
When to serve
Pol Roger's Brut Réserve should be served chilled. Perfect as an aperitif for formal occasions or celebrations, it also suits convivial moments with refined seafood dishes.
