Description
Porta Marina ad Est Colli Maceratesi Metodo Classico is a sparkling wine produced by Fontezoppa in Civitanova, made from Ribona grapes grown at approximately 150 meters above sea level. This wine is an interpretation of this indigenous Marche variety following the Metodo Classico, enhancing its freshness and expressive verticality.
After destemming without crushing and gentle whole bunch pressing, the free-run juice is statically decanted and then fermented. The sparkling process is initiated with selected yeasts, and the wine rests on the lees for at least 18 months, followed by manual riddling and bottle maturation on the lees to intensify complexity and finesse.
It shows a fine and persistent perlage and a bright straw-yellow color. On the nose, it reveals notes of citrus, white flowers, and delicate hints of bread crust. On the palate, it is taut and vibrant, with pronounced freshness, good savoriness, and a dry, clean finish.
Perfect as an aperitif, it elegantly accompanies raw fish, oysters, and shellfish dishes.
