Description
What kind of wine it is
Château Galoupet Cru Classé Rosé is a wine from the Côtes de Provence appellation, produced in the heart of the French Riviera. This rosé originates from a certified organic blend of Grenache, Syrah, Vermentino, Tibouren, Cinsault, and Sémillon. The style is broad and structured, characterized by a rounded palate and a saline finish that highlights its mineral character. Part of the blend is aged in barrels to increase depth and complexity, while still maintaining great expressive precision.
Where does it come from
The wine is born in the enchanting area of crystalline Provence, within the renowned Côtes de Provence appellation. The grapes come from thirty-nine plots, managed and vinified separately, an approach that preserves the subtle differences between parcels. The result in the glass faithfully reflects the Provençal soil through a clear mineral sensation and a distinctive savory note. The entire estate follows a sustainable project based on organic farming, which enhances the energy and authentic character of the land.
How it is produced
Grenache, Syrah, Vermentino, Tibouren, Cinsault, and Sémillon grapes are carefully grown and divided according to their original plot. The separate vinification of parcels respects the terroir identity before the final blend is crafted. A portion of the wine ferments and matures in oak barrels for several months, using new and once-used wood to add structure. The remaining part is vinified in steel tanks to preserve aromatic finesse, thus integrating the contribution of wood without altering the typical Provençal profile.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it shows a delicate pink color, a sign of winemaking focused on elegance. The nose offers well-defined aromatic complexity, with floral notes naturally entwined with hints of ripe peach, bitter almond, and fresh citrus nuances. On the palate, it is ample and enveloping, supported by a well-balanced roundness that gives density without ever weighing down the drink. The long and saline finish closes the experience in perfect harmony with the minerality of its homeland.
What to pair it with
This rosé pairs effortlessly with herb-infused lamb chops, where the pronounced saline element cleanses the palate very effectively. Its roundness beautifully supports Mediterranean cuisine and dishes with a delicately spiced profile. In keeping with local tradition, the wine enhances seafood-based recipes such as bouillabaisse, and enriches iodized flavors with its mineral note. It’s also an ideal match for a vegetable ratatouille, as it weaves garden sweetness with its own fruity nuances.
When to serve it
Château Galoupet Rosé is the perfect choice for convivial occasions when seeking a glass that combines finesse and structure. Its expressive richness makes it ideal throughout the meal, suitable for pairing with menus from appetizers to light main courses. Thanks to the balance between the roundness on the palate and the aromatic precision, it harmoniously accompanies dinners based on iodized ingredients or vegetarian dishes. The mineral tension and persistent finish make it enjoyable again and again, ensuring a dynamic and satisfying tasting experience.
