Description
What kind of wine is it
Miraval Rosé from Château Miraval is a rosé from Provence made with Cinsault, Grenache, Rolle, and Syrah. The style is fresh and harmonious, with a fine structure and softness that recall the region. Fermentation takes place in steel tanks to preserve the primary aromas, while a small portion ages in oak barrels for added complexity. The blend expresses the Provençal coast and offers a balanced and versatile profile.
Where it comes from
This rosé is born in Provence, in the Côtes de Provence area, near the communes of Correns, Muriers, Longue, and Romarin.
How it is made
The grapes are handpicked in the coolest hours of the morning, with double selection to ensure quality. After harvest, all the varieties undergo a brief maceration, except Syrah, which is obtained by the saignée method from the free-run must. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, with a small part aged in oak barrels, giving the wine greater complexity and structure.
Tasting notes
In the glass it shows a pale pink color, clear and bright, with light salmon highlights. On the nose, orange peel and pink grapefruit emerge. The palate offers immediate freshness, balanced sapidity, and a fresh, harmonious, and delicate taste, recalling citrus notes.
Food pairings
Miraval Rosé pairs well with raw oysters and seafood, enhancing the freshness of the dishes. It is also ideal with seafood-based pasta dishes such as linguine with clams and seafood risotto, as well as shrimp and avocado salads. Among regional dishes, it accompanies Provençal bouillabaisse and ratatouille, while among Italian pairings, a Mediterranean seafood salad is recommended.
When to serve it
The balanced structure invites young consumption. Excellent as a summer aperitif or paired with light dishes, it adds a touch of elegance even to spring dinners.
