Description
The Cinque Autoctoni by Fantini Farnese originates from vineyards located in the Abruzzo towns of Notaresco and Ortona, and the Apulian towns of Sava and Manduria. It is crafted from a skillful blend of Montepulciano, Primitivo, Sangiovese, Negroamaro, and Malvasia Nera grapes, harvested and selected entirely by hand.
Fermentation takes place, with maceration on the skins, in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures for 25 days. After malolactic fermentation in barrels, the wine is aged for 13 months in the same containers before being bottled.
It displays a deep and luminous ruby red color. On the nose, it opens with intense aromas of blackberry and cherry, enriched with hints of aromatic herbs, cinnamon, cloves, and licorice, against a mineral background. On the palate, it is structured and perfectly balanced between the warmth from the alcohol and freshness, with soft tannins leading to a pleasantly persistent finish.
Perfect for pairing with hearty sauces and red meats, it is ideal with game and aged cheeses. Also excellent as a meditation wine.
