Description
What kind of wine is it
Etna Bianco Arrigo di Neri is a white wine made from Carricante with a small portion of Catarratto, produced on the slopes of Etna in Sicily. The vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks at 14°C, with fermentation conducted by selected yeasts to maintain a clean aromatic profile. Aging in stainless steel for 6–8 months defines a fresh, savory and balanced style, with a pronounced acidic backbone and a smooth yet precise drinkability.
Where it comes from
This Etna Bianco is born in Contrada Arrigo, on Etna, from vineyards located at 700 meters above sea level. The vines, aged between 30 and 50 years, grow on volcanic soils: a foundation that translates into marked sapidity and supports a sense of gustatory tension, keeping the sip focused and defined.
How it is produced
After harvesting, the grapes are processed with a traditional white vinification. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel fermenters at 14°C, using selected yeasts to guide the process and preserve the freshest aromas. Once fermentation is complete, the wine matures in stainless steel for 6–8 months, maintaining a technical imprint aimed at fruit clarity and linearity.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it shows a straw yellow color with golden reflections. The nose reveals fresh floral notes, quite intense and perceptible. On the palate, it stands out for its pleasant acidity, an enveloping sensation, and a marked sapidity that lengthens the progression and sustains balance, leaving a clean and continuous finish.
Food pairings
It pairs naturally with raw fish appetizers, where freshness and saltiness complement the delicacy of the dishes. It also works well with risottos and grilled or baked fish mains, thanks to its taut profile and savory finish. It's also suitable for white meats that are not heavily spiced, when a white wine bringing precision to the table is desired.
When to serve it
This is a white to choose when you want a fresh and measured drinking experience, suitable both as an aperitif and with seafood-based meals. Its acidity and pronounced sapidity make it especially enjoyable in the warmer seasons, without losing balance at the table. Served at the right temperature, it enhances floral aromas and the clarity of the sip; aging in stainless steel for 6–8 months supports its most direct expression.
