Description
What type of wine it is
The Etna Rosso Alta Mora is a red wine made entirely from Nerello Mascalese grapes, with an intense ruby-red color and a savory, well-structured profile.
Where it comes from
It is the first wine from the new vineyard owned by the Cusumano brothers, located at the foot of Mount Etna in Sicily.
How it is made
The grapes are harvested and hand-selected during the second ten days of October. After pressing and maceration, the wine undergoes malolactic fermentation in stainless steel. It then rests and matures in large wooden casks before being bottled and spending a short period in bottle.
Tasting notes
It features a very intense ruby red color and typical aromas of violet, cassis and sweet spices. On the palate, a pronounced salinity stands out, tied to the minerality of Etna’s volcanic soils, supported by good structure and a well-balanced harmony.
Food pairings
Perfect with aged cheeses and grilled red meats, including spiced and spicy preparations.
When to serve it
Its structure makes it suitable to accompany substantial dishes, particularly the preparations mentioned above.
