Fiano di Avellino DOCG Colle dei Cerri 2006 Di Meo
Description
The Fiano di Avellino Colle dei Cerri derives from a selection of vineyards located in the Salza Irpina area, at an altitude of 550 meters above sea level.
It is obtained entirely from Fiano grapes, whose fermentation takes place in oak barriques. Subsequently, the wine always refines in barriques for 10 months and for another 8-10 months in bottle before being placed on the market.
It has a straw yellow color with golden reflections. On the nose it expresses intriguing hints of ripe yellow fruit, enriched with notes of toasted hazelnuts. On the palate it is full and intense, characterized by full harmony.
Recommended in combination with haute cuisine fish or seafood dishes, it is excellent with both fresh and aged cheeses.
