Description

What type of wine is it

Franciacorta Brut Rosé by Ferghettina is produced in Lombardy, obtained from Pinot Noir grapes. Made according to the Traditional Method, it stands out for its fresh yet well-structured profile, balancing vibrancy and creaminess. The vinification process begins with fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, followed by a slow aging that endows the wine with a delicate perlage and long-lasting palate progression, making it suitable for a variety of food pairings.

Where it comes from

This Franciacorta originates from vineyards located on the hills of Adro, a territory nestled in the heart of Franciacorta. The geographical area is renowned for providing favorable conditions that ensure even grape ripening. The hilly terrain gives the wine clear elegance and solid structural balance. The unique characteristics of the soil are directly reflected in the aromatic finesse and vivid tasting energy that define the profile of this Rosé.

How it is produced

The grapes are hand-harvested in mid-August. After careful pressing, only the free-run must is selected for alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel vats, kept at a controlled temperature to preserve the primary aromas, with the fruit from each vineyard vinified separately. The following spring, the blend is created and bottled for secondary fermentation according to the Traditional Method. This is followed by thirty-six months of aging on the lees, essential for building the wine’s complexity.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows an elegant onion skin hue, enhanced by a fine and particularly persistent perlage. The aromatic profile is refined and clean, dominated by clear notes of red fruits, with hints of blackberry and subtle nuances of raspberry standing out. On the palate it displays excellent structure and a coherent progression, offering a well-balanced sip supported by refreshing acidity. The finish is long and delivers a pleasant persistence that faithfully recalls the fruity panorama perceived on the nose.

Food pairings

This Traditional Method wine is an excellent companion to start a meal, served as an elegant aperitif. At the table, it naturally accompanies a wide variety of dishes and pairs ideally with appetizers and first courses rich in seafood flavors. Its structured weave makes it perfect alongside crustacean and fish recipes, balancing the consistency of courses without overpowering the original taste of the ingredients. The harmony of creaminess and crispness ensures spot-on pairings every time.

When to serve it

Ideal for enriching convivial moments, it is perfectly suited for both refined service and more relaxed occasions. Its versatility makes it the perfect choice when you want a bottle that can seamlessly accompany an entire meal, maintaining tension and freshness throughout. Thanks to prolonged aging on the lees, the wine exhibits remarkable stability in the glass, offering a consistent and continuous tasting experience designed for those seeking a dynamic, measured, and consistently satisfying sip.
