Description
What kind of wine it is
QRosé Brut by Quadra is a Franciacorta produced in Lombardy from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay grapes. Classified as Franciacorta, this wine stands out for its fresh and linear profile. The winemaking process follows the Traditional Method with secondary fermentation in the bottle and a prolonged lees ageing, a procedure that gives the style a structured, elegant, and precise character, making it suitable for various tasting occasions.
Where it comes from
The vineyards are located in the heart of Franciacorta, a hilly area in Lombardy known for its strong winemaking vocation. This denomination is set in a landscape of gentle hills, with favorable exposures that facilitate the regular ripening of the grapes destined for rosé and white wines. Its central position within the area allows for a balanced style, highlighting aromatic precision in line with the region’s identity.
How it is produced
After harvesting, the grapes undergo a soft pressing and are vinified in steel tanks to preserve the clarity of the aromas. Part of the wine matures in barrels, a step that adds depth to the tasting profile. The prise de mousse occurs in the bottle in full respect of the Traditional Method and is followed by ageing on the lees for at least 45 months, essential in defining the finesse of the perlage.
Tasting notes
Visually, the wine displays an antique pink color accompanied by a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, clear aromas of wild strawberry and citrus emerge, enriched by smoky hints that add a layer of complexity. On the palate, it opens with a fresh and vertical entry, with a tense and well-defined progression that finishes with a long persistence and clean citrus returns.
Food pairings
At the table, this Franciacorta is an ideal companion for pizza, thanks to its taste profile capable of balancing rich and flavorful toppings. It pairs equally well with dishes based on red meats and grilled white meats, where the wine’s freshness and persistence can support the intense flavors resulting from grilling.
When to serve it
This wine expresses itself harmoniously during convivial occasions and moments of sharing, making it suitable both as an aperitif and to accompany a full meal. The structure guaranteed by the long ageing on the lees and its Traditional Method character make it the right choice when one seeks a vibrant, clean, and satisfying sip. It is recommended to be served when you wish to enjoy a glass of great freshness and aromatic elegance.
