Description

The Ghemme Cantalupo Anno Primo from the Antichi Vigneti di Cantalupo winery is produced in Piedmont from Nebbiolo grapes grown at altitudes between 280 and 310 meters, on moraine hills of glacial origin with soils rich in minerals and gravel. It is a wine that expresses the depth and elegance of the Ghemme designation, symbolizing the winemaking tradition of the Arlunno family.

After a gentle pressing, fermentation takes place at a controlled temperature, followed by maceration with submerged cap. The wine is then transferred to oak barrels where it ages for twenty months before bottling, followed by further aging in the bottle.

In appearance, it presents a clear and bright ruby red color with garnet tendencies. The nose opens with intense scents of resin, violet, withered rose, raspberry, and notes of great finesse. On the palate, it is dry, warm, appropriately tannic and structured, with a dynamic, broad sip and an elegant finish.

It pairs perfectly with braised dishes, roasts, stewed game, and aged cheeses.
