Description

What type of wine is it?

Langhe Nebbiolo by Produttori del Barbaresco is a red wine produced in Piedmont from Nebbiolo grapes. This wine is born from a careful selection of the younger vineyards grown within the company's vast estate, aiming for a clear-cut, approachable style. The production process involves fermentation in steel tanks with extended maceration on the skins to ensure optimal extraction. Ageing in a large oak cask completes the process, defining a medium-bodied style and a distinct freshness—perfect for pairing with meals in perfect balance.

Where does it come from?

This Piedmont red hails from the renowned territory of the Langhe, a region celebrated for its strong winemaking tradition. The grapes are carefully harvested from one of the younger vineyards among the one hundred hectares owned by the estate. This agronomic choice allows Produttori del Barbaresco to offer a direct and authentic expression of the grape variety. The availability of extensive vineyards allows for targeted selection of the best parcels, ensuring ongoing qualitative consistency and a strong bond with the original terroir.

How is it made?

Vinification starts with alcoholic fermentation conducted in steel tanks at a strictly controlled temperature of twenty-eight degrees. During this phase, the must experiences a twenty-day maceration on its skins, which is crucial for giving the wine its structure. Subsequently, malolactic fermentation is completed to stabilize the wine's flavor profile. The process concludes with five months of maturation in a large oak cask, a technical choice that encourages measured evolution and fully respects the character of the grape.

Tasting notes

In the glass, the wine shows a vibrant, deep ruby red color, full and consistent. The nose opens with pronounced and inviting red fruit aromas, elegantly followed by delicate hints of anise and subtle spice notes of white pepper. On the palate, it's a medium-bodied wine, supported by a pleasant freshness and a straightforward progression that enhances its drinkability. The finish is clean and precise, delivering a well-balanced sip with a clear aromatic identity.

Food pairings

This Piedmont red is particularly suited to accompany a wide variety of traditional appetizers. It shines alongside first courses, where its acidity perfectly balances dishes with moderate structural intensity. Thanks to its medium body and delicate spicy profile, it also pairs easily with both white and red meats, complementing without ever overpowering their flavors. It is an excellent match for classic pasta with meat sauce and creates a harmonious dialogue with the dish's savory and succulent components.

When to serve it

This label is the perfect choice for lunch and dinner on any day, offering a smooth yet very typical experience. Its structural characteristics make it ideal for convivial occasions, comfortably accompanying the entire meal. Its short time in wood has shaped an already harmonious profile and allows enjoyable drinking right away, with no need for lengthy waiting. It is therefore the optimal choice whenever you wish to bring to the table a versatile wine capable of highlighting a variety of dishes with ease.
