Champagne Brut Cristal Millesime 2002 Louis Roederer
Description
Considered the most famous wine of the Maison Louis Roederer, Champagne Brut Cristal was born in 1876 to satisfy the demanding taste of Tsar Alexander.
It is made from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir grapes, from the prestigious region of the Montagne de Reims, in the heart of the AOC Champagne, harvested and selected by hand when perfectly ripe. After the classic winemaking processes, the sparkling process takes place according to the Champenoise Method, by refermentation in the bottle, with a refinement of 6 years on its levers and a further 8 months in the bottle, following disgorgement.
Louis Roederer's Cristal , which bears the name of the material with which the first bottle for the Tsar was created, is characterized by a bright straw yellow color, with amber reflections, and a fine and persistent perlage. The nose opens with evident fruity aromas of lemon and candied orange, with floral notes of lily and aromas of freshly roasted dried fruit. On the palate it is decisive and round, pleasantly soft and creamy, with a fresh citrus finish.
This bubble is perfect to accompany refined fish, oysters, shellfish and caviar dishes.
