Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc GI Greg 2019 Whitehaven

Whitehaven 'Greg' is a 100% Sauvignon Blanc produced in the Marlborough region of New Zealand.

After the mechanical harvesting carried out when the temperatures are low, the bunches are de-stemmed and entrusted to a soft pressing with a minimum time of contact of the must with the skins. Subsequently, the solid parts are removed to reach the maximum degree of purity. Fermentation is then started at low temperatures with selected yeasts.

Straw yellow in color with greenish reflections, it offers the nose hints of gooseberry, grapefruit, nettle and elderberry. On the palate it is medium-bodied with a refreshing acidity expressed by mineral and stony notes, with good crunchiness that anticipates a long finish.

It goes very well with summer salads, shellfish and seafood. Also suitable in combination with grilled fish or as an aperitif.
