Description
What kind of wine is it
Meursault Limozin by François Mikulski is a white Chardonnay with a solid structure and a enveloping profile. Originating from the Meursault area, it displays roundness and a silky texture, reflecting the character of the terroir. This stylistic approach allows the wine to evolve over time, balancing freshness and complexity.
Where does it come from
Meursault Limozin is born in the Meursault area, on a 0.15-hectare parcel. The soil, composed of fine alluvial sediments and low in limestone, provides natural drainage and supports balanced vine growth. The vines, with an average age of 65 years, contribute to a full-bodied and long-lived style typical of this subzone.
How is it made
Vinification and ageing are determined according to each vintage, to best enhance the characteristics of the terroir and the year itself.
Tasting notes
In the glass it appears deep straw yellow with golden highlights. On the nose, ripe yellow fruit, honey, toasted almond, and a buttery note typical of Meursault stand out. The palate is broad and silky, with balanced freshness and a subtle minerality that provides drive. The finish is long, with fruity returns and light toasted nuances.
What does it pair with
Meursault Limozin by François Mikulski pairs with refined seafood dishes and delicate white meats. Excellent with gratinated scallops, hot Breton-style oysters, and white meats in creamy sauce.
When to serve it
It is recommended to serve this Chardonnay in a large glass to enhance the aromas. Thanks to its structure and the balance between freshness and complexity, the wine can remain in the cellar for many years, acquiring depth and evolved nuances. When young, it offers a lively and fruity profile, while with ageing it acquires roundness and complexity.
