Description

What kind of wine it is

Roero Arneis Giovanni Rosso is a white wine made from Arneis grapes, produced in the Roero area. Vinification involves a short cold maceration and fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel for about 21 days, preserving a clean aromatic profile. The wine then matures in stainless steel for 6 months and in bottle for 3 months, resulting in a soft and fresh style with a savoury finish.

Where it comes from

This Roero Arneis belongs to the Roero Arneis designation and originates in the Roero territory, while the Giovanni Rosso winery is located in Serralunga d'Alba. Its origin expresses a Piedmontese white offering freshness and a crisp varietal character, with a production choice consistent in the use of stainless steel for both vinification and ageing.

How it is produced

The Arneis grapes undergo a brief cold maceration, followed by fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks for about 21 days. After fermentation, the wine ages in stainless steel for 6 months, maintaining linearity and precision. The final 3 months in bottle allow the bouquet to harmonize and integrate the savoury sensation on the finish.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it shows a straw yellow colour. The intense bouquet features notes of tropical fruit, peach and pear. On the palate, it is soft and fresh, pleasantly smooth with a savoury finish that lengthens the sip and enhances its gastronomic character.

Food pairings

At the table, it pairs well with fried fish, where freshness and savouriness help cleanse the palate. It also goes naturally with vegetable soups and seafood, especially in simple preparations that highlight its clear aromatic profile.

When to serve it

This is a white suited from aperitif to the table when you want a soft and fresh glass, with clear fruity aromas and a savoury finish. The vinification and ageing in stainless steel enhance a straightforward, immediate drinking experience, ideal for accompanying seafood cuisine and vegetable dishes without overwhelming the balance of the sip.
