Description

Rosso di Montalcino by Tenuta Ciacci Piccolomini d'Aragona comes from vineyards located on the hills of Montalcino, in Tuscany.

It is produced exclusively with Sangiovese Grosso grapes, vinified in stainless steel containers and concrete tanks vitrified at controlled temperature. The wine ages for 12 months in Slavonian oak barrels before being bottled.

It has a ruby red colour. The scent is fruity, with ample notes of fresh red berry fruits enriched with floral and spicy notes. Warm and quite soft, it is structured and balanced in the mouth, with pleasantly pronounced tannins.

Perfect to accompany Tuscan soups and cold cuts and medium-aged cheeses, it is excellent in combination with first courses with meat and ragout sauces.
