Rosso di Montalcino DOC Collezione del Conte 2018

Rosso di Montalcino from the Conte di Villa da Filicaja collection comes from the same vineyards from which the prized Brunello di Montalcino originates.

It is made exclusively from grapes of the Sangiovese Grosso variety, harvested by hand once it has reached full ripeness. After fermentation, the wine rises in cask for 6 months, followed by a further 2 months of aging in bottle.

It is characterized by a pale ruby red color. The nose offers clear hints of violet and rose, accompanied by notes of sour cherry and pink pepper. In the mouth it has a slight tannicity, revealing itself at the same time fresh and satisfying.

Perfect in the company of game, it is ideal in combination with pasta dishes with truffle and deviled chicken.
