Description
The Rosso di Montalcino from the La Poderina estate in Tenute del Cerro comes from vineyards located on the southeast side of Castelnuovo dell'Abate, in the Sienese municipality of Montalcino.
It is produced entirely with Sangiovese grapes, harvested exclusively by hand. Fermentation takes place, with maceration for 10-12 days, in stainless steel tanks at a controlled temperature of 24-26 ° C. Subsequently the wine ages for 9 months between French oak barrels and Slavonian oak barrels, followed by a further period of aging in steel before bottling.
This Rosso di Montalcino has an intense ruby red color. The nose opens with evident hints of black cherry and raspberry, on a vanilla background. On the palate it is full-bodied and balanced, slightly tannic and with good persistence.
Perfect to accompany first courses with meat sauce, this red wine is ideal in combination with grilled meats, roasts, poultry and white meats.
