Description

What kind of wine is it?

Domaine Bruno Clair's Savigny-Lès-Beaune 1er Cru Les Jarrons is a red Burgundy wine made from Pinot Noir grapes. This label expresses the Premier Cru with a profile defined by fresh fruit and a clear structural complexity. The winemaking aims to achieve a calibrated balance between varietal purity and aromatic development, supported by a pleasant silky texture.

Where does it come from?

The wine is born in the Savigny-Lès-Beaune appellation, specifically from Premier Cru Les Jarrons. The vineyard rests on clay-limestone soils, an ideal matrix to provide structure and gustatory definition. The east/northeast exposure sustains a taut line during ripening, which encourages a faithful expression of the terroir and a coherent aromatic progression.

How is it made?

The process involves maceration for about ten to fifteen days in wooden vessels, using some whole bunches to enhance the tannic profile. Targeted extraction preserves the freshness of the aromas. Aging for eighteen to twenty months in partially new oak barrels then smoothly integrates the wood, respecting the varietal identity of the cru.

Tasting notes

In the glass, it displays a clear ruby red color. The nose is dominated by red berry notes, forming an orderly bouquet with a clear varietal character. On the palate, it shows good structure, balancing the exuberance of the fruit with a pleasant silky texture that faithfully accompanies each sip. The finish maintains excellent synergy between freshness and aromatic complexity.

Food pairings

At the table, it pairs ideally with game dishes, thanks to a flavor profile able to balance intense tastes. Its marked fruity component also makes it suitable with aged cheeses, where aromatic maturity finds a pleasant contrast. For meat-based dinners, it provides a measured pairing that enhances dishes without overpowering them.

Serving occasions

This wine is perfect for convivial moments when a red of great tactile finesse is sought. Its seamless connection between aroma and taste makes it ideal for an elegant dinner dedicated to Burgundy. In the glass, it accompanies the guests, offering a consistent, orderly, and continuous drinking experience from start to finish.
