Description
What kind of wine it is
Soave Brognoligo Cecilia Beretta is a white Soave Classico wine made from Garganega. The winemaking process favors freshness and aromatic precision, with fermentation in temperature-controlled steel tanks and a small portion that ferments and ages in French oak barriques. The result is a savory profile with good structure, balanced between acidity and softness, made rounder by aging on fine lees without losing its linear character.
Where it comes from
The grapes are sourced from the classic Soave area in Veneto, where Garganega expresses finesse and persistence on the palate. The Brognoligo vineyards are set on basaltic-volcanic soils with alluvial remnants, a combination that delivers a recognizable minerality and a savory finish.
How it's produced
Before harvesting, the grapes stay on the vine for a slight drying period of 2–3 weeks, concentrating aromas and structure. After gentle pressing, fermentation takes place mostly in steel tanks at controlled temperatures. A small part ferments and ages in French oak barriques, adding subtle toasted notes and more volume, while the rest of the blend rests for three months on fine lees, providing depth and roundness while retaining tension and savoriness.
Tasting notes
Pale yellow with greenish highlights. The nose recalls chamomile, tropical fruit, and subtle toasted nuances, in line with the part aged in barrique. On the palate, the attack is fresh and savory, with a fluid progression well balanced between acidity and softness. The finish unfolds with a typical sweet almond aftertaste, granting a lingering persistence.
Food pairing
On the table, it pairs well with fish dishes, delicate first courses, and vegetable-based preparations, thanks to its freshness and savoriness that cleanse the palate without overpowering flavors. It is also suitable as an aperitif, when a dry, neat white is desired, able to accompany small bites and light appetizers.
When to serve
This is a white ideal when you want a fresh, savory, and balanced glass, perfect both as an aperitif and for lunch centered on fish and vegetables. The aging on fine lees and the small portion in barrique support a full tasting experience, preserving the clear traits of Garganega from the first sip to the sweet almond finish.
