Description

What kind of wine is it

Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir by Kosta Browne is a red wine produced in California from Pinot Noir grapes. This label is the result of a careful selection of vineyards located along the coastal strip and combines winemaking expertise with a strong sense of place. The production process partially employs whole cluster fermentation and ends with targeted aging in wood, which defines an intense aromatic profile and an elegant structure.

Where does it come from

The grapes come from the Sonoma Coast appellation and are grown in selected parcels between the northern coastal area and the southern edge of the region. The local climate is deeply shaped by the ocean's influence and abundant rainfall, both key factors that ensure a slow ripening of the grapes. This distinctive coastal-maritime environment gives the wine a recognizable aromatic complexity and a profound identity tied to its geographic origin.

How it is produced

The grapes are vinified mainly in stainless steel tanks, while a portion of the must is fermented in wooden barrels and concrete vats. Maturation takes place over fifteen months of aging in new French oak barrels, complemented by additional wooden barrels and a small share of new Austrian oak. This technical management preserves the purity of the fruit and builds the palate's structure.

Tasting notes

The bouquet opens with vivid aromas of perfectly ripe red and blue fruits, enriched by a delicate note reminiscent of rain in the woods. On the palate, the sip is soft and enveloping, led by clear sensations of dark forest berries and vibrant flavor energy. The well-integrated tannins guide the tasting towards a harmonious finish supported by the texture imparted during prolonged oak aging.

Food pairings

Thanks to its measured tannic structure and remarkable roundness, this wine ideally accompanies dishes with mushrooms and delicately spiced white meats. It pairs naturally with a classic risotto or roasted chicken flavoured with gentle spices. It also shines alongside roast turkey, where the wine's fruity notes and structure balance the succulence of the meat without overwhelming its flavor.

When to serve it

This label is perfectly suited to convivial occasions and accompanies guests from a substantial aperitif through the main dinner. Its precise technical management and refined tannin weave guarantee an immediate enjoyment of great pleasure, while also ensuring excellent aging potential in the cellar. This bottle is a great choice for anyone who enjoys appreciating the gradual evolution of the wine's aromatic profile in the years to come.
