Description

Platt & Riegl Pinot Bianco is made from the finest Pinot Blanc grapes grown in Oltradige at an elevation of 450–550 meters a.s.l.

The harvest is carried out by hand in small containers. After gentle whole-cluster pressing, the must is clarified by natural settling. Fermentation takes place for 50% of the must at controlled temperature in stainless-steel tanks and for the other 50% in large 50-hL oak casks. This is followed by malolactic fermentation for the portion in wood and ageing on fine lees for six months.

Pinot Blanc is distinguished by its compact clusters and small, greenish berries. The wine shows a delicate and fresh yet full character that reflects the winemaking tradition of the Girlan area. It is appreciated for its versatility and freshness, making it ideal for numerous occasions.

It pairs perfectly with appetizers and fish dishes, and is highly appreciated as an aperitif, offering a harmonious combination of flavors.
