Description

The red wine Belva is produced by Cantina Truentum, a winery belonging to Cantine Nae, a young company that brings together wines produced in various regions of the Italian peninsula. Truentum was founded in 2020 in Abruzzo, in the Controguerra area, on the border with Marche.

It is made from indigenous red grapes, with a small addition of Merlot grapes, which are dried for 20 days before fermentation. Fermentation takes place separately with gentle pressing of the grapes. Maceration on the skins lasts for 2 weeks. The wine is aged for 3-4 months in French barrels.

Ruby red in color with violet hues, it reveals intense aromas of cherries, plums, and spices on the nose. The palate is rich and juicy, with soft, persistent tannins.

It pairs well with ragù pasta and semi-aged cheeses.
