Description

Arianna Occhipinti's Frappato comes from organically grown vineyards located in the Ragusa area of Vittoria, south of the Iblei Mountains.

It is produced exclusively with Frappato di Vittoria grapes, harvested manually in the first 10 days of October. Fermentation takes place with maceration on the skins for 30 days, with indigenous yeasts. The wine then ages for 14 months in Slavonian oak barrels and for another 30 days in bottle before being placed on the market again.

Ruby red wine, it releases intriguing aromas of blueberry and plum on the nose, enriched with elegant sensations of tobacco and sweet spices. On the palate it is full and enveloping, of fine harmony and persistence.

It goes well with first courses with meat sauce. It is ideal with stewed meats, roasts and mushrooms.
