Description

Il Frappato by Arianna Occhipinti comes from vineyards located in the municipality of Vittoria, in the province of Ragusa, south of the Iblei Mountains.

It is produced exclusively with Frappato di Vittoria grapes, which are hand-harvested during the first 10 days of October. Fermentation takes place with maceration on the skins for 30 days, using indigenous yeasts. The wine then matures for 14 months in Slavonian oak barrels and spends a further 30 days in bottle before being released to the market.

This ruby red wine reveals intriguing aromas of blueberry and plum on the nose, enriched by elegant hints of tobacco and sweet spices. On the palate it is full and enveloping, with remarkable harmony and persistence.

It pairs beautifully with meat-based ragù pasta dishes. It's ideal with braised meats, roasts, and mushrooms.
